Well, just because it's not Monday doesn't mean I can't post another picture, right? I found this one and couldn't resist: This is thegiant Half-Blood Prince book that greeted me in the Edinburgh airport as I arrived for my and Emerson's 2005 interview with Jo. It wasn't there in the fall of 2007, but there was a tremendous picture of Jo, waving, accepting her honorary degree at the University of Edinburgh, a bit like she was the city's mascot; it made me chuckle.

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.

Great site. Keep doing.

If you have to do it, you might as well do it right

Perfect work!

Perfect site, i like it!

Great .Now i can say thank you!

Excellent site. It was pleasant to me.

My dream is to go to Edinburgh and maybe to meet with Jo walking on a street or having a hour at a caffe.

Or, what would be perfectly, to meet her in a Potter Event...

Anyway... I impatiently await Nov 4th and Dec 4th too... Harry, a History and The Tales of Beedle the Bard will made my year ended better!!

I really like this pic!!

Hi Melissa -

first time around HERE for me, at least ... :)
Writing this from an internet cafe in beautiful Edinburgh, actually, where there are currently way too few traces of Jo, if you ask me. At least two coffee places claim to have been "hers" back in the day, but only one has the badge ... What do we know about the Elephant House? Anyone? Any other Jo places one must see while here? It is a gorgeous place, anyway, but a little magic never hurt ...

Cheers from Scotland,
A.

I want that in my ROOM.

There's a nice place for that behind your couch when the futon is gone, eh? :P

I just 'found' the site. I've some reading to do.

I impatiently await 4 Nov. (and 4 Dec)..

Thanks for all you do Marvellous Melissa.

OMT

HMMMMMMMM????? i wonder if i would need my glasses to read that book? lol

HBP cover was awesome at the time, only US DH cover since surpassed it in awesomeness for me. With the fire around Dumbledore and Harry, my imgaination soared in anticipation. Good cover to um...blow up!

Ahaha. Awesome. I wish I had something like that. Imagine trying to fit in your house. The Jo cut-out could be a little creepy, though. I wonder if she ever saw it. Haha.

that is so awesome!!!!
: )

I was in Edinburgh two days after the book release (bad timing I know). I don't remember the giant book in the airport, but I do remember the HUGE posters in the train station. I'm happy I had HBP to get me through the plane ride or else I might have gone crazy. I hate flying.
