Photo Monday (Shh, it's still Monday somewhere): Right before the first interview
All right, all right, I'm sorry this is late. 10 points to the first person who can tell me where in the world it's still Monday as of 11:57 this morning in New York.
This week's picture was taken with a blurry no-flash camera phone, as we waited for J.K. Rowling to arrive at Edinburgh Castle for her midnight reading on July 15, 2005. Emerson and I were beside ourselves with excitement: for the interview that would soon follow, but at this moment, mostly, to be part of this event and to GET OUR HANDS ON THE BOOK! The colors of this picture remind me strongly of that night - cool, blue, bright splashes everywhere like someone threw Crayola paint over everything. It's always been one of my favorite pictures relating to my time in Harry Potter's phenomenon, though when I first published it on Leaky it did absolutely nothing to tamp down the still-hilarious Memerson rumors.

Yes they are all in UK right now except Sue - and she says they aren't up to anything. However they said the same thing right before the Jo interview on PC so let the conspiracies continue I think.

It was still Monday in my TARDIS. Nowhere else on Earth, I'm afraid -- but the Ixolvarqs of Zeta Ursae Majoris 4 were quite happy to get the photo early, as it was Sunday for them.
It's was.. Monday in.. no. Oh, wait in.. no.
Well somebody somewhere probably had some wrongly eschewed computer that read it was Monday instead of Tuesday.. hopefully.

I thought you'd be too busy celebrating to remember to put any photos or to post!! You are, of course, a social anthropologist of sorts, but I think the writer concerned could not be bothered to say 'keen observer of the Harry Potter fandom' ... I think you'll have to get used to it, especialy from November onwards. As of yesterday, things are only going to get better!?! And as for Emerson, boy was he right about the term "delusional" ...
