Event Updates!
Hey! There's been quiet around here for one of six or seven reasons: firstly, the spam attack wasn't the standard spam but a nuisance who was targeting the server; dealt with and done, thanks to the brilliance of the Leaky tech team. Second, I've been installing and customizing about six different types of gallery systems to try and find one that works best for the site. I think I've got it now, so that we can put all these photos, and the ones from coming events, in the right place so that they can be easily found again.
My first signing of Harry, A History has been set! It will be at 7 p.m. on November 5, at the Borders in Columbus Circle (PotterCast fans will remember we did an event there during the 2007 summer). Again, that is:
FIRST Harry, A History reading and signing!I hope to see you there! I'm a lot less nervous about this one than I was about the first ones, thanks to the warm reception from Harry Potter fans. I have more event news soon, so hang tight!

Hi Melissa,
I just want to second the motion for an Australian book signing :)
(And/or an Australian Pottercast? In Melbourne?) :D
Best of luck with the book sales and signings,
Can't wait til it's on the shelves.
Steph
Please please please please please please please come to Atlanta. I will love you forever, let you sleep at my house, wash your car, buy 20 copies of the book, perform magic tricks at your birthday party, and basically worship you for all time (like I don't already?). We love you dearly down here, Melissa. I am so excited for the book and I'm definitely showing up at Barnes and Noble in full robes, party or no party.
Can you try for a Louisville/Nashville/Atlanta stop? We'd love to see you down here!
I know you can't do a signing everywhere (like Montana, where I live), but I so wish you'd consider selling autographed books on your site here, or signed bookplates for us to put in our books. I'll be buying Harry the day it comes out, but I'd buy a second autographed copy from you if you'd offer them!
Hiya,
Any chance of a reading and signing tour here in Australia...? Oh, ok never mind :) Can't wait for the book to come out!
Hi, Melissa:
Are you coming to North Jersey? I would love to see you and buy the book in person. (I'm a teacher and it would be tough to schlep into Manhattan on a school night.)
Will you be doing any book-related events at LeakyCon?
I can't wait to read the book! And thanks for sharing all the extra canon on Pottercast. It's fascinating stuff. I love listening to you on Pottercast.

Hey Melissa,
I am really looking forward to your book (such a perfect title btw), and am loving this website and how you are getting all these amazing stories and cannon nugglets out to the fans (not that i would have ever expected anything less from you!)
Any chance a London/UK singing is on the cards *crosses fingers and toes and everything*

UK
I dont suppose another London visit is on the cards, Melissa? I know the odds are low since you were only here last year but here's hoping!
Wow..... i just checked the school website and i have the day before off too..........
thats messed up.
lol
Why does it have to be on a sChool day! =(
just like the Sorcerers stone aanniversary was on a tueday!!! =P
I hope you come to SoCal!
While you may not have much say in the matter - please come to the midwest for a book signing and reading (preferably Milwaukee, but I realize Chicago would make more sense). There are lots of fans in the "fly-over" states that would like a chance to congratulate you in person.
Can't wait to read it.
