Happy Halloween, everyone! Today's image is one of my favorite pictures of the guys from Harry and the Potters, standing in front of the Norwood Library in Norwood, MA. It's an important library to them (and if I had time at this moment to go through my notes I would discover if it was their first library show or the first show they played at a venue). I took this right before we arrived at the DeGeorge's house at the end of the tour I spent with them.

Joe and Paul DeGeorge, out of character.

IT'S OUT!

Finished the book. Loved it.

Made me nostalgic and somewhat tearful (which is saying something- I'm not really a crier), almost exactly as I felt when I rode to the bookstore on July 20, 2007 to wait in line and get my copy of Deathly Hallows.

It rekindled my love of the series and everything that's sprung from it. Not that my devotion/excitment had faded exactly, just sort of dulled somewhat in the year and almost a half since Book 7.

Remember The Time-Travel Theory? How everyone latched onto it and it spread like wildfire, though we all knew it was probably totally wrong, but didn't care because it COULD have worked. Haha. That was fun.

I'm glad the epilogue ended where it did. It was perfect. And I'm glad I know that six months after that interview PotterCast would tour for the second time, and Terminus would be a huge conference in August, that there's a Jingle Spells 2, and that LeakyCon and more is coming after that.

I've said all that to say this, thank for writing this book and for all you've done. You and countless other online Potter folk have affected me more than you'll know, and I'm very grateful.

Sorry if this super sentimental and fangirly. I can't help it!

Much love to you, Sue, John, Frak, everyone at Leaky, and all the wizard rockers and YouTubers.
*hugs*

The book's great. I'm looking forward to getting to know Harry and the Potters and wizardrock a lot better and giving the old Zimmer frame a run for its money!!

my gran lives there (norwood).
in fact, most of my family lives there.
my cousins were in boy scouts with the degeorges.

this is so surreal, i've been to that library and just never knew...

From what we learn about their personalities in HaH, that seems very much like them - Paul, the more grunge/punk one, in a plain hoodie and jeans, and Joe looking like an advertisement for Orange Julius.

Mmmmmm.... Orange Julius...
