People went wild for this button during Summer '07 (artwork courtesy the amazing Makani/Heather Campbell):

Interestingly, people still want the "evil" version after book seven. I may dislike Snape as a person, but there's no question, for me, that he's also a hero. The Snape Good Button also got a fun endorsement at a film event:

You know I love Harry Poter. So meny people said it's a kids movie but I am 45 and I like it. I have been trying to find other movies the actors where in. Now mind you I am in the states not england. Did evanna Lynch act at all befor this i can't find anything and she was great at her part.

I love Evanna!!!
Snape is a good person with bad motives... does that make sense?

My copy of your book shipped today from Amazon and is to arrive tomorrow! I'm excited, but wondering why I get it early

SNAPE IS EVIL!!!! He was only working for the good side because he was in love with Harry's mom and felt guilty. So yeah, the power of love ultimately defeated Voldemort but bad people can still have love! Take one look at a. Bellatrix and b. the Malfoys. I don't care what anyone says. The man is evil. End of story. I still love him as a character though. He's my third favorite teacher after McGonagoll and Flitwick. Excluding Dumbledore from the "teachers" category, of course.

I agree with Roonwit on this one. I'm a big fan of this character, but to say he was good I think is a big stretch.

Is there a Snape button with the single word "Greasy" next to his hair? 'Cuz I would so get that.

I've actually never seen this Snape the Good button before. Makani rocks.

Evanna is amazing.

I wasn't able to see you guys on tour that year and never did get one of those buttons.

Any chance of getting one???? HMMMM??? Where, WHERE?? Pleezze! [my "fangirl"is showing, again]
That is so cool. And especially Ivana wearing it!
I would sure like to have one before the 'Half Blood Prince' comes out! And 'Jackie', he may be "creepy" [I'll give you that] but he's definately a hero, in my book!

For me whether Snape is good or evil is the wrong question, because despite what we learnt in DH I don't think Snape can really be considered good because he still has too many faults. I think the badges
Snape is on Harry's side
Snape is on Voldemort's side
Snape is on his own side
would have made more sense.

I want a good Snape button! 18 days until the book comes out :o)

Evanna Lunch is awesome ...

And I'd like a "Snape Creepy" one too :D

I WANT A BUTTON! sorry... fangirling aside... that is so cool that Evanna wore that to an event! Yay for Massive Potter Fans in weird places!

Wow, awesome! Too bad I wasn't in the country much during that summer. I wonder if you can still get those buttons, or other pre-DH stuff! Snape's a flawed hereo indeed.

I must have one. I wonder if Makani still has them. I never saw them ONCE the whole summer, and I was collecting stuff like mad for a Book Seven scrapbook (that I still haven't made *sigh*) I loved the Trust Snape/Don't Trust Snape stickers that were out (Borders?)

And yes, Melissa, you're right. You don't have to have a pure heart and goody-goody outlook to be someone's hero.

^_^ Wolfie

I don't know about "good" or "evil", but I'd like one that just says "creepy". I don't like to deal in absolutes, but Snape is definitely creepy.
